questions?
Great. Here are real answers. No pressure. No perfection required.
My Approach
-
I work with neurodivergent adults (diagnosed or not), deep feelers, overthinkers, and fellow therapists. ADHD is the heart of my practice, and many of my clients are adults who were missed, misdiagnosed, or only recently started connecting the dots about how their brain works.
Some clients have had a formal diagnosis for years. Others are just starting to explore what being autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD might mean for them.
I also work with highly sensitive people (HSPs), and with caregivers and loved ones navigating how to support someone with ADHD or neurodivergence, especially when they're trying to do it differently than how they were raised.
If you've ever thought "maybe I'm just too much" or "why is everything so hard for me?" then you're in the right place.
And if you're a fellow therapist looking for support, consultation, or a place to reflect on your own work or leadership, I offer that too. You can learn more here, including a separate FAQ just for clinicians.
I do not offer crisis support unless working with an established client.
If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, self-harm, or experiencing a mental health emergency, don’t wait for an appointment; seek help immediately.
If you are in the U.S. and in crisis, call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
For LGBTQ+ youth, call the TrevorLifeline at 1-866-488-7386 for 24/7 confidential support.
Deaf Crisis Line. Call 321-800-DEAF (3323) or text “HAND” at 839863.
Veterans Crisis Line. Call 800-273-8255 or text 838255

I help clients explore and manage:
ADHD and executive function challenges (focus, follow-through, time blindness, overwhelm)
Emotional overwhelm and rejection sensitivity, which often go hand in hand with ADHD
Depression and anxiety, including when they're tangled up with an undiagnosed or late-identified neurodivergent profile
Childhood Emotional Neglect
Perfectionism and people-pleasing
Parenting stress, especially for neurodivergent parents raising neurodivergent kids
Feeling lost or stuck in unhelpful cycles
Many of my clients are breaking generational patterns, navigating identity shifts, or learning they might be neurodivergent for the first time.

We get to know each other. I’ll ask what’s bringing you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope to get out of the process.
You don’t have to retell your entire life story or have perfect answers on day one. We’ll figure it out together.
Most folks start with a free 20-minute consultation, a no-pressure call to make sure the vibe feels right, ask questions, and talk through fit.
-
You don’t need a diagnosis. You don’t need to know exactly what to say. Just show up, we’ll start where you are.
Session Logistics
-
Nope. I’m 100% virtual across Georgia and Florida via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
-
Right now, I can only provide therapy to individuals who are physically located in Georgia, Florida, or South Carolina during sessions. I’m working on expanding licensure to Tennessee as well. Feel free to ask where I’m at in that process. I do offer educational and other non-therapy services outside those states.
-
Not at this time. I offer weekday sessions so I can show up fully present and prepared, for you and every client.
-
Session length is flexible and determined collaboratively based on your goals and capacity.
Standard sessions are typically 60 minutes, with extended sessions of 75, 90, or 120 minutes available when more time is helpful. In certain situations, brief check-ins may also be appropriate.
Some clients benefit from longer sessions to allow for deeper exploration, mapping executive functioning needs, planning toward goals, or integrating complex topics without feeling rushed. Others prefer a steady, consistent length over time.
We adjust session length and frequency as needed to support momentum, accountability, and nervous system regulation rather than following a rigid format.
Feel free to read about non-traditional session options here -
Therapy frequency is flexible and determined collaboratively based on your goals, capacity, and season of life.
Some clients prefer a steady rhythm of ongoing sessions. Others benefit from meeting more frequently during periods of transition, skill-building, or when working toward specific goals. In certain seasons, increased frequency can support momentum, accountability, and more immediate troubleshooting of barriers.
There are also times when slowing the pace makes sense, particularly during maintenance or integration phases.
We revisit frequency as needed to ensure the rhythm of therapy supports your nervous system, learning style, and goals rather than following a fixed schedule.
-
Some clients come short-term, others stick around long-term for deeper work. I’ll check in with you regularly about what’s working, and remind you that therapy doesn’t have to be forever (unless you want it to be).
-
Yes! 20 minutes, no commitment. Just a chance to connect and see if we’re a good fit.
Click the “Let’s do it” button below to book a free consultation, or just shoot me an email at Randi@KestrelPsychotherapy.com if that feels easier.
-
I ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
If something comes up last-minute, we’ll talk about it, but I may need to charge for missed sessions to honor the time I’ve set aside just for you. -
Sessions are flexible. You choose the pace, the length, and the rhythm, and we’ll adjust together.
Cost & Insurance
-
Therapy is an investment in your well-being, and I aim to keep that investment clear, transparent, and aligned with the structure that best supports your goals.
Standard 60-minute sessions are $150. Extended sessions of 75, 90, or 120 minutes are also available. For clients seeking more focused or immersive work, structured therapy intensives are offered at premium rates due to the planning and dedicated time involved.
A limited number of reduced-rate spots are available and reviewed periodically.
Please see the Services and Rates page for a detailed breakdown of session formats and fees.

I’m out-of-network, but I can provide a superbill (a fancy receipt) you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. The key word here is "possible”.
-
I want our work to be centered on you, not what an insurance company thinks is necessary or reimbursable.

TL;DR You shouldn’t have to squeeze yourself into a clinical box just to get care.
No diagnosis hoops. No forced timelines. Just therapy that works for your brain and life. -
You get real therapy without the insurance red tape. And if cost is a concern, let’s talk.
Progress & Goals
-
It might feel subtle at first.
Maybe you’re spiraling less. Maybe you said “no” without guilt. Maybe you started showing up more like you.I’ll track the wins with you, especially the ones you miss.
-
We can! If structure helps, we’ll set goals and revisit them. If not, we’ll let the process unfold organically.
Emotional Safety
-
Yes. With a few exceptions (like if you're at risk of serious harm).
We’ll review the limits together so you always know where the line is. -
Nope. You set the pace.
We can go slow. And if I nudge a bit, you’re always welcome to say “not today.”
My Background & Experience
-
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) in Georgia. While my original licensing state is Georgia, I also hold a Telehealth Registration in Florida and South Carolina which allows me to work with clients in across Florida and South Carolina.
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently working on a PhD in Leadership & Decision-Making.I also hold the ADHD-CCSP (ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider) through Evergreen Certifications, the primary clinically-focused ADHD credential available to licensed therapists in the U.S. Earning it required 30 hours of ADHD-specific training across assessment, treatment, and related areas, plus 200 documented clinical contact hours.
-
Yes. And I know there’s always more to learn.
I approach every client with humility and curiosity. I understand that even people who share identities have different lived experiences. I won’t expect you to educate me, but I welcome the chance to learn what matters to you.
The diversity of my clients’ stories and identities makes me a better human and therapist. That kind of learning never ends.

Hopefully I’ll answer those here.
